Pakistan, Iran Discuss Regional Peace Efforts in High-Level Phone Call

Ishaq Dar held a detailed telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, focusing on regional tensions, ongoing developments, and efforts to promote peace and stability.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, the two leaders discussed the overall security situation in the region and Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and encouraging dialogue between relevant parties.

During the call, Ishaq Dar briefed his Iranian counterpart on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to facilitate de-escalation and promote constructive engagement. He reiterated that lasting solutions to regional issues can only be achieved through dialogue and diplomacy.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reportedly appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and sincere mediation efforts in promoting peace.

Both sides agreed to continue joint efforts for regional peace and stability and to further strengthen diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

It is also worth noting that Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, recently praised Pakistan’s mediation efforts in talks with the United States, highlighting Islamabad’s role as a potential facilitator in regional diplomacy.
