Rulers Rattled by Two Rallies in Punjab; Ministers Should Speak According to Their Stature — Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri

Osta Muhammad — JUI central general secretary Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said that ministers and advisors belonging to the PML-N and other parties should recognize political realities instead of carrying out baseless propaganda against Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam. JUI is not a party to be intimidated by such rhetoric and political tactics; we also know how to respond to opponents, so everyone should speak according to their stature.

Expressing these views in a telephone conversation with INP, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said JUI has so far held only two rallies in Punjab, and opponents already appear to be gripped by panic, while in the coming days JUI will hold more large political programs in Punjab. The purpose of these activities is to create political consciousness and awareness among the people and to spread the message of democratic struggle. He said the scope of JUI’s political activities will expand further, and in the coming elections the party will make every effort to emerge as an effective political force.

Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said political opponents should also remember past circumstances when Maulana Fazlur Rehman played a role in the release of their leaders. Political leaders should hold conversations with responsibility and civility instead of forgetting past realities. He said JUI’s stance and political struggle cannot be weakened by baseless propaganda against the party.

He further said JUI has always raised its voice for the supremacy of democracy, the rule of the Constitution, and the protection of the people’s right to vote. The party expressed its reservations about the 2018 and 2024 general elections and declared them rigged. He said JUI stands by its principled position and will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the stability of democracy.
