A New Wave Will Come from the Government to Erase PTI’s Identity: Muneeb Farooq

ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Roznama): Journalist Muneeb Farooq has said that a new wave will now come in which the government will move towards erasing PTI’s identity. The position of the establishment regarding PTI — that Imran Khan is an anarchist leader and PTI is an anarchist party — has now been proven. Speaking on his podcast, he said that one should keep in mind that a wave will come — whether it comes now or after two months, it will certainly come — and the timing will be decided by the decision-makers.
He said that PTI’s members of the assembly would be nudged towards the view that if they want to do politics free of unrest, they will have to distance themselves from PTI and Imran Khan’s policy. If that is fine, they should register themselves as a new party and play their role in the political mainstream.
They would also get political benefits from this. “I do not know whether this is possible for PTI or not; in my view it is impossible, because here the model is understood to be that MQM was Altaf Hussain’s party and now it is MQM Pakistan. You cannot compare MQM and PTI,” he said.

He added that since Altaf Hussain does not even have one percent of his popularity, this ferment will be seen rising again — that the federal government will move towards erasing PTI’s identity altogether — because it has been proven that the establishment’s position regarding PTI was that Imran Khan is an anarchist leader and PTI is anarchist. They did what they did on May 9, and now they have become supporters of terrorists.
