JUI’s Politics Will Not Be Intimidated by Negative Propaganda and Media Trials; Sacrifices for Democracy and Peace Are a Golden Chapter in History: Maulana Abdul Wasey

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — Provincial Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Balochistan, Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey, while talking to a delegation of workers upon his return from visits to Loralai, Duki, and Chaman, said that the Jamiat’s politics is indifferent to negative propaganda and media trials; sacrifices for democracy, peace, and national stability are a golden chapter in history. The party has always adopted the path of principled politics for the Constitution, democratic values, public rights, and national stability, and has represented the people while remaining steadfast in its stance in every difficult period. He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is not a party that will be intimidated by any kind of negative propaganda, baseless allegations, and media trials; rather, it believes in politics based on insight, seriousness, political consciousness, and ground realities. The basic objective of the party’s politics is not the acquisition of power but the protection of public rights, the stability of the democratic system, the establishment of law and order, and the promotion of justice and tolerance in society. He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has always tolerated political differences within the democratic sphere and has played its role for the supremacy of the Constitution and law in the country; therefore, its public popularity and principled stance cannot be affected by negative propaganda against the party.

On this occasion, Provincial Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Balochistan, Agha Mehmood Shah, said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is a symbol of development, prosperity, peace, and public service in Balochistan, but unfortunately every possible effort is being made to politically isolate the party and limit its democratic role. He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is an organized, ideological, and public party whose roots are strong among the people; it cannot be pushed back from its principled stance through pressure, negative campaigns, or political obstacles. He said that serious measures are needed to eliminate the problems faced by the people of Balochistan, including unemployment, backwardness, the deteriorating law and order situation, and the lack of basic facilities, and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam will continue to play its political and democratic role for the resolution of these issues. He said that the party’s leadership and workers, despite all difficulties, will continue their struggle with mutual unity, discipline, and political perseverance, and will continue to raise their voice on every forum for the rights of the people of Balochistan, the development of the province, and true democratic stability.
