Making Hub District an Exemplary and Developed District Is Our Firm Commitment; Hub Master Plan Is the Foundation of the Region’s Bright Future: Mir Ali Hassan Zahri
Hub (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, spokesperson for President Asif Ali Zardari, and Senior Provincial Vice President of PPP Balochistan, Mir Ali Hassan Zahri, has said that making Hub district an exemplary, developed, and prosperous district is his firm commitment. The deprivations, backwardness, and lack of basic facilities that the people faced during the dark period of forty years in the past—now the time has come to change this situation. He said that the resolve we made to put Hub on the path of development, prosperity, and a bright future is now taking practical shape, and the ongoing and completed development projects are proof that if the intention is to serve the people and the objective is the prosperity of the area, then even decades of deprivations can be transformed into the light of development.
Mir Ali Hassan Zahri emphasized that our politics is not about acquiring power, but about changing the destiny of the people, redressing deprivations, and securing the future of coming generations. We do not believe in hollow slogans and temporary claims; rather, we consider practical steps, public service, and lasting development as the fundamental principle of our politics. The problems that the people of Hub district faced for a long time—now serious and solid steps are being taken to resolve these problems and for the construction and development of the area.
Clarifying, he said that the “Hub Master Plan” will prove to be an important milestone in the development of Hub district. Through this project, assistance will be provided in giving a coordinated direction to the needs of the urban population, basic infrastructure, roads, drainage, urban facilities, and future planning. The Hub Master Plan is not merely a construction plan; rather, it is a new foundation for Hub’s urban future, which has the potential to change the destiny of this city and its residents in the times to come. Our objective is to make Hub such a modern and organized city where the fruits of development reach the common citizen, business is promoted, opportunities are created for the youth, and the people get a better quality of life.
The PPP leader said that the journey of development of Hub district is not limited to any one area or specific class; rather, including the entire district and all populations in it is our priority. The development of remote areas of the district, including Dureji, the provision of basic facilities, and the resolution of public problems are also part of this vision. We want the people of Hub and Dureji to have equal opportunities for development and no area to remain victimized by backwardness or deprivation.
Speaking on political opponents and the changing situation, he said that despite the changing political situation in Dureji, new and old alignments, and the activities of various circles, our path is absolutely clear. We will confront with democratic, constitutional, and public force every such political approach that attempts to become an obstacle in the way of the area’s development, public interest, and prosperity. Political disagreement is everyone’s fundamental right, but no compromise can be made on the people’s future, the construction and development of the area, and collective interest.
Mir Ali Hassan Zahri further said that there is no power greater than the power of the people, and no political force stronger than the trust of the people. Those elements who prioritize personal interests over public interests must accept the reality that now the people will make decisions about their future on the basis of awareness, performance, and practical service. In the past too, the people have rejected anti-development and self-serving politics, and in the future too, they will reject such elements through their vote, unity, and democratic power. Any activity against the people or the state can never be encouraged, and no compromise will be made on peace, the rule of law, and the protection of the people.
He expressed his commitment that our strength is the people, our capital is the trust of the people, and our greatest objective is the prosperity of the people. We believe in moving forward with the people and will not allow any negative political campaign or anti-development thinking to become an obstacle in the way of the district’s construction and development. Our struggle is not a personal confrontation against any individual or group, but for the elimination of deprivations, protection of public rights, and a bright future for Hub district.
In conclusion, Mir Ali Hassan Zahri said that this journey of development will neither stop due to any pressure, nor weaken due to any opposition, nor bow before self-serving politics. We will take development projects forward with the cooperation, trust, and support of our people and will strive to ensure that the fruits of these projects reach every home, every neighborhood, and every citizen. Transforming forty years of deprivations into the light of development is our mission, the Hub Master Plan is the foundation of our bright future, and the prosperity of the people is our destination. We have set out to change Hub, and together with the people, we will make it an exemplary district and show it. Now Hub’s future will be development, not deprivation; hope, not despair; and prosperity, not backwardness.
