Balochistan Textbook Board-Adopted AI Curriculum and Robotics Ecosystem Showcased at Frankfurt Book Fair 2026

Pakistan presents AI and Robotics textbooks for Grades 1–12 and AI Robotics 360 digital learning ecosystem to international publishers and education experts

DUBAI: Pakistan has taken a significant step towards promoting modern education by presenting artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics textbooks for Grades 1 to 12, along with a comprehensive digital learning ecosystem, AI Robotics 360, at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026 in Germany.

The textbooks have been adopted by the Balochistan Textbook Board for use in the province’s education system. Their international presentation highlighted Pakistan’s efforts, particularly in Balochistan, to introduce technology-driven learning and prepare students for the demands of the digital age.

The books’ author, renowned Pakistani scientist, artificial intelligence expert, researcher and educationist Dr Atif Ali, who holds a postdoctoral qualification in AI, attended the event alongside Balochistan Textbook Board Chairman Dr Gulab Khan.

They presented the educational initiative to international publishers, educationists, researchers and technology representatives from various countries.

The curriculum aims to introduce students from an early age to artificial intelligence, robotics, programming, computational thinking, digital technology, creativity and practical problem-solving skills.

The exhibition of Pakistani educational materials conveyed the message that the country is working not only to adopt emerging technologies but also to equip its younger generation with the knowledge and skills needed to develop and apply them.

The educational vision, support and cooperation of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti and Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani were particularly acknowledged in connection with the development, promotion and international presentation of the project.

Introducing AI and robotics at school level is an important effort to align Balochistan’s education system with future technological requirements. The initiative seeks to provide students, including those in remote areas of the province, with access to modern scientific and technical education and prepare them for the challenges of the digital world.

Dr Atif Ali appreciated the support of the chief minister, the provincial education minister, the Balochistan Textbook Board, Chairman Dr Gulab Khan and the two publishing houses involved in the project. He expressed hope that such initiatives would contribute significantly to advancing modern education and technical skills in Pakistan.

According to Dr Atif Ali’s educational vision, AI and robotics should not remain confined to higher education institutions but should be introduced at school level, allowing students to develop familiarity with emerging technologies, creative thinking and practical skills from an early age.

The international presentation has also opened up potential opportunities for future collaboration with global publishers, educational organisations and technology experts.

Published through a collaboration between International Moonlight Publishers and Sigma Publisher, the textbooks and their integrated digital ecosystem demonstrate how cooperation among public institutions, educationists, researchers and the private sector can create new opportunities for modern learning in Pakistan.

The presentation at the Frankfurt Book Fair marks a step towards an educational future in which every student can access opportunities to learn, understand and practically apply artificial intelligence and robotics.
