I Had Said That If There Is No Benefit for Maulana Fazlur Rehman Himself, He Belongs to No One, Says Ali Amin Gandapur
Peshawar (Qudrat): Former chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said he had stated that if there was no benefit for Maulana Fazlur Rehman himself, he belonged to no one. He said the Maulana had finally said that he was with them morally. “My men are being martyred here, they are imposing emergency, all this is happening under our own government. If I were in their place, I would say, Maulana, keep your moral support with yourself.”
Speaking in an interview, he said Aleema Khan knew how much he had spent on the party, yet she had mocked him for selling land, which had hurt him. “You may not like me, but I am fighting for your brother. I have given so much sacrifice for your brother.”
He said she too had given, everyone had given, and he had given as well. “She mocked me for selling land. I had to share documents, and I was certainly hurt.”

The former chief minister said he had indeed said that if there was no benefit for Maulana Fazlur Rehman himself, he belonged to no one. “Now what has come out at the end is that he is with you morally. My men are being martyred here, they are taking me towards emergency, they are breaking the Constitution over me, all this is happening to us under our own government, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman says his moral support is with you. If I were in their place, I would say, Maulana Sahib, keep your moral support with yourself. Yes, if Asad Qaiser and the chief minister want moral support, they may take it.”
Ali Amin Gandapur said that if a comparison were ever made in this world or the next, he alone would be vindicated, because he had put his body, soul and wealth into the struggle for the party, the people and his leader, Imran Khan.
