Long March Will Set Out with Full Force on 4 October; Plan to Be Given Tonight, Says Sohail Afridi

Peshawar (Qudrat): Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi has said that the long march will set out with full force on 4 October and that the plan will be given tonight. He said they would send a message to the whole world that honourable Pashtuns stand with Imran Khan. People must leave their homes prepared, remain peaceful, and not allow anyone to create disorder.

Addressing a fundraising campaign, he said this was a fight the people would have to wage themselves, and that every Pakistani must play a role in it. It might not be possible to arrange complete transport, washrooms or food for them, so they must set out prepared from their homes. He said this was a struggle, and they must take part in it in large numbers.

Stopping an oppressor, he said, was the greatest struggle. They must come out against the oppression that was massacring justice in Pakistan, violating the sanctity of people’s homes, and arresting women and children. The long march, he said, would be peaceful. They must come unarmed, with their hands and feet, and raise the voice of truth with their tongues. No kind of disorder must be allowed; if anyone tried to spread disorder, he should be handed over to the police.

This time, he said, victory would belong to truth, to Imran Khan, to the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, to the youth, and to Pakistan.

According to a post by Information Minister Shafi Jan, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, while addressing workers at a fundraising event at the PTI secretariat, said that more than Rs 4 crore had been collected since the fundraising began. He thanked everyone for taking an active part in the campaign.

Sohail Afridi said the fundraising campaign would continue tomorrow as well. The long march would begin on 4 October from Gandi Chowk, Lakki Marwat, and would reach Mattani, Peshawar, on the night of 6 October. The plan would be given tonight.

He said the long march would set out with full force on 4 October, and honourable Pashtuns of the south region would come out in hundreds of thousands. This was not only about Imran Khan’s release, but about the future of the youth, peace and development. On the 4th, they would send a message to the whole world that honourable Pashtuns stand with Imran Khan.

Sohail Afridi said the honourable Pashtuns of the south region should come out and rob the rulers of their sleep. The people must fight this battle themselves and set out prepared from their homes. They must fight the oppressor who was committing oppression, raise the banner of truth, remain peaceful, and not allow anyone to create disorder. This time, he said, victory would belong to the youth and to the common people.
