Grand Jirga on law and order in Gandawah; resolve reiterated to protect people's lives and property and establish lasting peace
Gandawah (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — A grand jirga on law and order was held at Naulangh Hall under the auspices of the district administration and police, in which Member of Provincial Assembly Sindh Nawabzada Mir Nadir Khan Magsi, Provincial Minister of Balochistan Nawabzada Mir Zareen Khan Magsi, Nawabzada Mir Jafar Khan Magsi, and Nawabzada Mir Uzair Khan Magsi participated as special guests.
A large number of dignitaries and notables of Gandawah city participated in the jirga, including Deputy Commissioner Jhal Magsi Syed Rehmatullah Shah, Lieutenant Colonel Asim Khan, SP Jhal Magsi Rehmatullah Durrani, and tribal leader Mir Farhan Sohrab Khan Magsi.
During the jirga, important matters were considered regarding the law and order situation in Jhal Magsi district, especially Gandawah, the protection of people’s lives and property, and the establishment of lasting peace in the area, while important decisions were also taken for the improvement of law and order.
On this occasion, Nawabzada Mir Nadir Khan Magsi, while addressing, said that during the past six months, attacks on Nawab Magsi’s rest house, entering homes, and abducting people are unacceptable. Entering people’s homes and abducting them — what kind of Balochiat is this? He said that whether it is Jhal Magsi or Gandawah, both are our homes, and we will not let anyone harm them. He said that we are also Baloch, and now we have decided that such elements will not be allowed to enter Jhal Magsi. The participants should remain united and strong and should not allow anyone to commit excesses against them.
Nawabzada Mir Nadir Khan Magsi said that Jhal Magsi and Gandawah are both our cities, and we will even sacrifice our blood for their peace and protection.
A well-known personality of Gandawah city, Syed Sultan Shah Bukhari, also addressed the jirga and said that the people of Gandawah have always stood with the Nawab family and expressed full support, and will continue to stand with them in the future.
He said that the people of Gandawah are peace-loving and are ready to extend all possible cooperation and play their full role for the establishment of law and order in the area. The people of Gandawah stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army and support every positive step for peace, stability, and the protection of people’s lives and property in the area.
The participants of the jirga expressed their commitment to full cooperation with the administration, police, Pakistan Army, and tribal elders for the establishment of peace in the area and the protection of people’s lives and property.
