Human Resource Development Vital for Sustainable Progress in Balochistan: CM Bugti

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that enhancing the capacity and skills of human resources is of fundamental importance for ensuring sustainable development in the province.
He made these remarks during a meeting with Dr. Qurrat-ul-Ain Bakhtiar, head of the Institute for Development Studies and Practices (IDSP), who called on him in Quetta.
The meeting discussed various matters related to human resource development in Balochistan, education and training of youth, community development, women’s empowerment and social development.
The participants also discussed the need to provide young people with education and practical training in line with modern requirements, utilize their capabilities effectively and ensure their meaningful participation in the province’s economic and social development.
CM Bugti said that the youth were a valuable asset of Balochistan and could be made active participants in the development process by providing them with better opportunities for education, skills development and employment.
He said the Balochistan government was taking effective measures in the fields of education, technical and vocational training, women’s economic and social empowerment, and community development.
The chief minister added that the government could also benefit from the experience and expertise of institutions working in these sectors.
