Pashtun Culture Is a Mirror of Centuries-Old Glorious History, Hospitality and Tolerance: Haji Wali Muhammad Norzai

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – Pakistan Muslim League (N) Balochistan Member of Provincial Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare Haji Wali Muhammad Norzai, while congratulating the Pashtun nation and the people of the entire province on the occasion of Pashtun Cultural Day, has said that Pashtun culture is a mirror of centuries-old glorious history, traditions, values, language, hospitality, and tolerance.

In his message, he said that the purpose of celebrating Pashtun Cultural Day is to highlight one’s cultural identity and historical heritage, as well as to acquaint the new generation with their civilization and traditions. In the traditional values of Pashtun society, honor, brotherhood, hospitality, jirga, tolerance, and mutual respect hold a prominent place.

Haji Wali Muhammad Norzai said that culture is the identity of any nation, and for the development of nations, it is necessary that while maintaining their civilizational identity, they also remain in harmony with the requirements of the modern era. Pashtun youth should stay connected to their language, culture, and traditions and play their role in the development of society and the country through education, skills, and positive activities.

He said that it is the responsibility of the government and all segments of society to play a role in the protection of the positive aspects, historical heritage, and traditional values of Pashtun culture, and to provide opportunities to the youth for the promotion of cultural activities.

The Parliamentary Secretary, while congratulating the Pashtun nation on the occasion of Pashtun Cultural Day, expressed good wishes and said that cultural diversity is Pakistan’s beauty, which can be further strengthened through mutual respect and unity.
