PTI MNA Fazal Muhammad Khan Allegedly Abducted Near Mardan’s Rashkai Interchange; Party Leaders Condemn “Enforced Disappearance”

Peshawar: Reports have emerged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly Fazal Muhammad Khan, elected from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Charsadda district, has been allegedly abducted by unidentified individuals near the Rashkai Interchange on the Mardan Ring Road.

According to reports, unknown persons stopped Fazal Muhammad Khan’s vehicle near the Rashkai Interchange and opened fire on all four tires of his car, after which the MNA was forcibly taken away. The news of the incident has prompted strong reactions from other PTI leaders and members of the assembly.

Condemning the incident in strong terms, MNA Junaid Akbar Khan said in a statement posted on the social media platform X that the alleged enforced disappearance of MNA Fazal Muhammad Khan is extremely alarming, and such actions will further widen the distance and mistrust between the people of the province and the state. He urged the authorities, “For God’s sake, do not turn Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into Balochistan,” and called for an immediate end to such unconstitutional and illegal conduct.

Earlier, Islamabad Police also arrested MNA Adil Bazai, bringing the total number of assembly members arrested from Islamabad to six. Among these assembly members, Mian Ahsan Jamal and Sanaullah Masti Khel were already in custody, while Senator Saifullah Niazi, Ghaus Muhammad, and Dawar Kundi have also been arrested under the 3-MPO. Khawaja Farooq, Senior Vice President of PTI Azad Kashmir, has also been taken into custody.
