Zulfi Bukhari Slams Crackdown: “Illegal Crackdown of This Level Never Seen Before in the Country, It’s Shameful”

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Advisor to the PTI founder Zulfi Bukhari has said that an illegal crackdown of this level has never been seen before in the country, and it is shameful. PTI members of assembly and senators are being abducted from outside Parliament — where else in the world is such a thing seen? In a post on X, he said that despite 20 days having passed, Hammad Azhar is still being kept disappeared/incommunicado, and he is being denied access to his lawyer and family.

His 75-year-old mother has now been compelled to approach the Lahore High Court seeking justice and a meeting with the family. On the other hand, our elected members of the National Assembly and senators are being abducted from outside Parliament.

An illegal crackdown of this level has never been seen before. Shameful!

In another tweet, Zulfi Bukhari said that there is video footage of the abduction in broad daylight of three-time caretaker/current Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fazal Shakoor Khan, from Peshawar. Ahead of the protest on the 27th, agencies are abducting people in this manner. Where else in the world is such a thing seen? Where even women and children are not spared.

Furthermore, a petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court challenging the detention of PTI founder’s sisters Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi. The petition names the Punjab government, the Home Department, the DC Lahore, and others as parties.

The petitioner’s stance is that the DC Lahore illegally issued the detention orders. The petition requests the court to nullify the DC’s illegal detention orders. It may be noted that PTI founder’s sisters Noreen Niazi and Uzma Khan were taken into custody from Lahore and placed under detention, with both detained for 30 days.
