Khawaja Asif Criticizes Students Expressing Solidarity with Afghan Students

ISLAMABAD:Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has responded to statements by Pakistani students expressing solidarity with Afghan students.

In a statement, Khawaja Asif claimed that **70 to 80 percent of the terrorists involved in attacks on Pakistan’s mosques, schools and military are Afghan nationals**.

He further alleged that Afghans were expressing solidarity with Pakistan’s “eternal enemy,” India.

The Defence Minister said that solidarity expressed by Pakistani students with Afghan students was more reflective of their political inclinations than of love or sympathy.

He added that students should not go so far in their support for a political party that Pakistani lives begin to seem less valuable to them.
