Imran Khan’s Sisters Denied Meeting After Two-Hour Wait at Adiala Jail

Islamabad:The visit of Imran Khan’s sisters to meet him in Adiala Jail has once again been thwarted. The jail administration reportedly kept the family members waiting for two hours outside the facility, repeatedly assuring them that the meeting would take place. However, after the prolonged wait, they were told simply that “the meeting time had ended.”

Noreen Khan Nyazi, one of Imran Khan’s sisters, expressed her anger and frustration when speaking to the media. “We were initially told that we would not be allowed to meet with Aleema Khan. When we came without her, we were still not allowed to meet,” she said, accusing the authorities of deceit. “They are lying, their intentions are malicious,” she added, condemning the way the situation was handled.

Noreen went on to explain that the jail authorities had made repeated promises that the meeting would happen, but after the two-hour wait, they were ultimately denied entry.

Previously, two of Imran Khan’s sisters, Noreen Nyazi and Dr. Azma Khan, had been granted permission to visit him. Along with them, his cousin, Qasim Khan, was also allowed a meeting. The three family members had been brought to the jail from the Gorkhapur checkpoint by police, where they were made to wait for hours, only to be informed later that their meeting with Imran Khan would not take place.

This latest incident has added to the ongoing controversy surrounding the treatment of political prisoners in Pakistan, raising questions about the fairness and transparency of the prison administration’s actions.
