Convoys from Balochistan for Islamabad Long March to Depart Today and Tomorrow; Powerful Forces and Rulers Have Turned the National Treasury into a Personal Estate, the Free-Riding of the Elite Is Not Ending: Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat) – Convoys from Balochistan for the September 20 Islamabad Long March will depart today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday). Targets and instructions have been issued to all districts and brother organizations. In the long march, voices will be raised against extortion in petroleum products, corruption, unrest and lawlessness in Balochistan, and for peace and rights. Jamaat-e-Islami has been holding large sit-ins and protests in 40 major districts across the country for 40 days. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch has said that convoys from Balochistan for the September 20 Islamabad Long March will depart today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday). Targets and necessary instructions have been issued to the officials of all districts and brother organizations. District ameers and officials of brother organizations, responding to the call of central Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman, should complete the targets given by the province and start their journey to Islamabad along with their convoys according to the instructions. The only voice of the people and the real public opposition in the country is Jamaat-e-Islami, which has been on sit-ins and protests for public rights and against extortion and looting for 40 days. These views were expressed by him while giving targets and travel instructions regarding the September 20 Islamabad Long March to district ameers, officials of brother organizations, members, and workers. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch said that under the leadership of central Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman, Jamaat-e-Islami has been highlighting public issues and struggling for the resolution of national problems through sit-ins and peaceful democratic resistance across the country for the past 40 days. The September 20 Islamabad Long March is an important stage of this peaceful democratic struggle. The public flood and the convoy of democratic resistance rising against oppression and tyranny, extortion, corruption, unrest, and the violation of public rights will make its own path. He said that a large number of people, members, and workers from Balochistan will participate in the Islamabad Long March. Balochistan’s burning national issues, the injustices being done to the people, deprivation of rights, closure of borders and roads, unemployment issues, unrest, and economic difficulties will be highlighted at the national level and the way for their resolution will be paved. On the very first day of the long march, Balochistan’s full representation will be visible. He said that the participation of all members will be mandatory without any Shariah excuse. Discipline, religious environment, and mutual cooperation should be ensured in the convoys. Security arrangements will be made by the officials of JI Youth, Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba, and Jamiat-e-Talaba Arabia. Members, workers, and officials will be bound to take instructions from the provincial and district organization, and during the journey, the discipline of the Jamaat, brotherhood, and mutual unity will be maintained in all circumstances. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch said that the people of Balochistan are demanding their basic rights, peace, employment, honor, and a fair share in resources. The people of the province cannot be left to further deprivation, unrest, and economic difficulties. The Islamabad Long March will also become a means of conveying Balochistan’s voice to the national assemblies and the rulers. He said that the rulers are not concerned about the difficulties of the people; the rulers and powerful forces have turned the national treasury into a personal estate. Corruption is at its peak at every level. Extortion in the name of petroleum levy and the continuous economic burden on the people are unacceptable. On one hand, the people are worried about two meals a day, while on the other hand, the extravagances, privileges, and free-riding of the ruling class and elite are not ending. He said that for the resolution of public problems in the country, both the government and the opposition are silent; only Jamaat-e-Islami is playing its constitutional and democratic role. Jamaat-e-Islami, which is continuously highlighting public issues in the field and struggling for their resolution, has been present through sit-ins and protests for the past 40 days. The government should show seriousness in negotiations with Jamaat-e-Islami and make practical progress on the people’s demands; problems will not be solved by mere stalling. He said that the struggle against looting, corruption, extortion, unrest, and the violation of public rights is not the issue of one party or class but of the entire society. Jamaat-e-Islami will continue the struggle for the rights of the people through peaceful, constitutional, and democratic means. The people should participate fully in Jamaat-e-Islami’s peaceful sit-ins and protests, including the September 20 long march, and raise their voice for their legitimate, constitutional, and democratic rights. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch said that if public power is peaceful and organized, no obstacle can make it abandon its demand for basic rights. God willing, Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its democratic resistance for the achievement of the people’s rights, the elimination of corruption, the establishment of peace, and a just system.
