ISLAMABAD (Daily Qudrat) – According to journalist Wasim Abbasi, Pakistan has activated the defence agreement with Saudi Arabia. In a tweet on X, he reported that Pakistan has activated the defence agreement with Saudi Arabia. According to officials, Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia and is fully active for the defence of the Haramain.

In this regard, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that there is no need for any agreement for the protection of Makkah Mukarramah.
In an interview, Khawaja Asif said that even if there is no Makkah agreement, the protection of the holy sites is our duty. I believe the situation has arisen where the Makkah agreement has to be enforced.
He said that the Makkah agreement applies to us and we will fulfill our duty.
I cannot go into details, but we are bound to implement the Makkah agreement. He said that if the tension between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis intensifies further and the fighting expands, then Pakistan and Turkey will stand openly and in practical and diplomatic terms with Saudi Arabia. Khawaja Asif said that the Houthis are attacking Saudi Arabia; in such a situation, if Iran takes a side, then in my view that would not be a wise move and its chances are also very low. At the same time, Pakistan has also sent a message and Saudi Arabia has also been informed.
The Defence Minister said that in a situation where Iran stands with the US and Israel amid fragile peace and uncertainty in the Gulf war, then in such a scenario, instead of opening another new front or expanding it, wisdom demands that it should not be escalated and turned into a major disturbance.
