BUJ and Quetta Press Club Strongly Condemn Attack on Senior Journalist Naseer Ahmed Kakar
BUJ and Quetta Press Club Leadership Demand Arrest and Action Against Those Involved in the Violence
Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — The Quetta Press Club and the Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) have strongly condemned the violence committed by armed individuals against senior journalist and UNA Bureau Chief Naseer Ahmed Kakar. The BUJ and Quetta Press Club have demanded immediate action against the accused from the police.
In a joint statement, it was said that a person named Bari Kakar, who claims to be a social leader, called journalist Naseer Ahmed Kakar to his place along with four other friends yesterday to settle a domestic dispute. When they went there, Bari Kakar attacked those mediating the settlement and not only subjected them to violence but also threatened the journalist and other mediators with serious consequences.
The BUJ and Quetta Press Club demanded that immediate legal action be taken against the accused.
