Karachi Records Third Fire Incident in 24 Hours as Blaze Erupts at Sadar Karim Centre

KARACHI: Karachi witnessed its third fire incident within the past 24 hours as a fire broke out at the Karim Centre in Sadar on Tuesday.

According to fire brigade officials, two fire tenders were dispatched to the site to bring the blaze under control.

Earlier this morning, a fire broke out at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) building on M.A. Jinnah Road, completely destroying the office of the Karachi mayor. Fire brigade officials said the fire originated in a kitchen adjacent to the mayor’s office. No casualties were reported in the incident.

A day earlier, a major fire erupted at a garment factory located in the Landhi Processing Zone, reducing goods and equipment to ashes. Rescue officials later declared the fire-affected building dangerous.

Despite the repeated fire incidents, no visible measures appear to have been taken by the Sindh government to address the situation.
