Our Politics Revolves Around Freedom, Equality, and Prosperity of All Oppressed Peoples, Including Pashtun Nation: Khushal Khan Kakar

QUETTA – Chairman of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PkNAP), Khushal Khan Kakar, has declared that the party’s politics and struggle are centered on the freedom, equality, and prosperity of all oppressed nations and peoples, including the Pashtun nation.

Addressing a joining ceremony organized by the Afghan Khurottabad regional unit, Kakar said that PkNAP has adopted a clear stance on every issue, including the situation in Afghanistan, and that the party’s position has always proven correct.

Parliament Is a Means, Not the Destination

Emphasizing the party’s political philosophy, Kakar stated: “Parliament is not our destination; rather, parliamentary representation is a means in our struggle through which we can raise the voice of oppressed nations and marginalized peoples.” He reaffirmed that PkNAP’s politics is a democratic resistance and struggle to free the Pashtun-Afghan nation from difficulties in every sphere of life.

Allegations of Rigging in 2024 Elections

The PkNAP chairman strongly condemned the 2024 elections, calling them the result of “worst rigging, coercion, and bribery.” He claimed that his party had won three national assembly seats, but their victories were “consciously converted into defeat” through a planned strategy.

He alleged that on one seat, they were repeatedly offered a national assembly seat conditional upon accepting certain terms. “But by the grace of God, PkNAP’s leadership and workers ultimately succeeded in their struggle,” he said, adding that they can now raise a strong voice in the National Assembly against every form of oppression, for the rights of the Pashtun nation and all oppressed peoples.

Call for Organizational Strengthening

Kakar said the Afghan Khurottabad area has a large population and immense potential for expanding and strengthening the party. He encouraged tribal communities in the area to focus on politics, education, and political struggle, and to play an active role through the party platform.

He emphasized that the serious situation facing the Pashtun nation demands that the party be organized, active, and expanded at every level. “The party officials and workers must intensify their efforts on a daily basis to make the organized movement a means of salvation for the nation,” he concluded.

Joining Ceremony

Earlier, senior party leaders including Syed Qadir Agha Advocate, Muhammad Isa Roshan, Sahiba Badich, Nida Sangar, Rahmatullah Sabir, Haji Abdullah Khuroti, and Akbar Kalwal also addressed the ceremony. More than 150 individuals from 17 families, including elders, political workers, and youth, announced their joining of PkNAP, which was welcomed by the party chairman.
