‘If You Don’t Want to Get Scolded, Never Forget Your Wedding Date’: Amitabh Bachchan’s Funny Advice to Husbands
MUMBAI: Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has shared a humorous piece of advice for married men, urging husbands to always remember their wedding anniversary.
During a recent episode of a popular Indian television programme, Bachchan praised a contestant for remembering important dates related to his wife. He then jokingly warned other husbands to follow the same practice.
“All husbands, listen carefully. Forget every other date in the world, but never forget the date you got married.” Bachchan said, adding that wives often ask their husbands whether they remember their wedding date.
The veteran actor humorously remarked that if a husband gives the wrong date, “anything from shoes and slippers to a rolling pin” could come his way.
Bachchan also spoke about his domestic life with his wife, actress Jaya Bachchan. He revealed that whenever his work causes him to be late for dinner, he informs his family in advance so that he does not have to face questions later.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan got married in 1973 and have been married for more than five decades.
