Azaan Sami Khan Opens Up About Criticism Over His Father’s Legacy, Reaffirms Love for Pakistan

Lahore: Pakistani actor, singer, and assistant director **Azaan Sami Khan** has revealed that he has often faced demands to publicly denounce his father, renowned singer **Adnan Sami Khan**, due to the latter’s ties with India.

In a recent interview, Azaan shared, *“Many people have asked me to disassociate myself from my father, but I deeply love him. As a Pakistani, I may disagree with many of his choices, but as a son, I respect him greatly.”*

Expressing disappointment, Azaan said that whenever he posts on social media, people label him as a “traitor’s son.” He added, *“I live here, I chose to work in the Pakistani industry, yet I am judged for my father’s decisions.”*

He acknowledged that his father enjoys immense respect in India, holding Indian citizenship and having been awarded the Padma Shri. *“I can go there anytime, but I never have. I love Pakistan, and I always will,”* Azaan emphasized.

Highlighting his patriotic roots, Azaan said, *“My mother and ancestors have always been patriotic. Do I have to spend my whole life proving that I am also loyal to my country?”*

The actor concluded that such criticism is **deeply painful**, especially when he himself strongly identifies as a **devoted Pakistani patriot**.
