Diljit Dosanjh Says He Wants to Visit Lahore but Fears Travel Complications Due to Political Tensions

Mumbai: Indian singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has said that although he would like to visit Lahore, concerns over political tensions between India and Pakistan could create difficulties for his international travel.

The globally popular Punjabi artist, who enjoys a large fan following in Pakistan, made the remarks during a recent live session on social media after a fan invited him to visit Lahore.

Responding to the invitation, Dosanjh said he would love to come to Lahore but described the current political situation between the two neighboring countries as complicated.

“If I come to Lahore, I may face difficulties while traveling to other countries afterward,” he said, adding that global politics affects such matters and that he prefers to stay away from politics.

The singer remarked that the situation is driven by politics and expressed the view that he has always chosen to focus on his work rather than political issues.

Dosanjh has previously expressed warmth toward his Pakistani fans. He also accepted a gift from Pakistani admirers during an international concert earlier this year.

The artist had earlier faced criticism in India for working alongside Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in a film. Despite the backlash, the project was released.

His latest comments sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many users praising his honesty and expressing continued admiration and support from fans in Pakistan.
