Father and Son Killed in Firing by Unknown Gunmen in Awaran’s Jhao
AWARAN: A father and his son were killed when unidentified armed men opened fire on them in the Jhao area of Balochistan’s Awaran district, police and local sources said.
According to sources, the gunmen targeted the father and son, leaving both critically injured. They succumbed to their injuries while the attackers fled the scene after the shooting.
Following the incident, police and other relevant personnel reached the site and shifted the bodies to a hospital. After completion of the necessary legal procedures, the bodies were handed over to the victims’ families.
The killings triggered fear and concern in the area, while a mourning atmosphere prevailed among the affected family and local residents.
Police said the suspects fled after the attack and an investigation had been launched to identify and arrest those responsible. Investigators are collecting evidence and examining different aspects of the incident to determine the motive behind the killings.
