Long March Will Take Place on September 27, No Change in Date: CM Sohail Afridi

BUNER: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has categorically stated that the PTI’s long march will take place on September 27 as scheduled and there will be no change in the date.

According to private TV channel ARY News, speaking in Buner, the chief minister said that despite a Supreme Court decision, PTI founder Imran Khan had not been provided treatment at Shifa International Hospital.

Afridi said he would personally lead the long march and take hundreds of thousands of people to Islamabad.

He directed party workers to begin preparations, saying they would return after making the September 27 march successful.

Earlier, addressing participants of a street movement at Abu Bakr Siddiq Chowk in Hangu, Afridi alleged that the government had “thrown into the dustbin” a court decision concerning Imran Khan.

He said some people had once again demonstrated that they considered themselves above the Constitution and the law.

Afridi claimed that when a state institution issued an order against his government, it was implemented within an hour, whereas court orders concerning Imran Khan had not been implemented by those who considered themselves above the law.

The chief minister said that if powerful people could not be punished, then weaker prisoners should also be released, arguing that two separate systems of justice could not operate in the same country.

He said Imran Khan’s struggle was aimed at establishing one law for both the powerful and the weak.

Afridi urged people to consider where the country was heading, saying that farmers and industrialists were facing serious difficulties.
