Trump’s Sarcastic Remark at Protester Sparks Social Media Debate

A protester disrupted US President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in South Carolina and was escorted out by security personnel, but a sarcastic remark by the president has sparked a fresh debate on social media.

According to an international news agency, Trump was addressing a rally in Myrtle Beach in support of Republican Senate candidate Lindsey Graham when a man in the crowd stood up, shouted slogans and criticized the president’s policies.

Police and convention center staff quickly intervened and removed the protester from the hall.

The protester was wearing a black shirt carrying a strong slogan against individuals who commit child sexual abuse.

Trump briefly paused his speech and looked toward the protester but did not ask security officials to stop the removal. Instead, he made a sarcastic comment about the demonstrator.

Speaking into the microphone, Trump said, “It’s okay, he’s going home to his mother.” He then added that the protester’s mother would probably scold him because she was voting for Trump.

The president’s remarks quickly drew attention on social media, with users debating his response to the protester and the tone of his comments during the campaign event.
