Trump Thanks Iran for Advance Warning of Attack, Urges Peace in the Region

Washington:Former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that Iran provided advance notice before its recent missile attack on the U.S. military base at Al Udeid in Qatar. In a message posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said that out of the 14 missiles fired, 13 were intercepted, and the remaining one was allowed to pass as it posed no threat. He emphasized that no American personnel were killed or injured, and there was minimal damage.
“I want to thank Iran for the advance warning of the attack, which ensured no loss of life or injuries,” Trump wrote. “Perhaps now Iran can move toward peace and harmony in the region, and I will encourage Israel to do the same.”
Trump described the Iranian response as “weak and expected,” following the reported U.S. destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities. He added, “Iran has vented its anger. Hopefully, this will be the end of further hostility.”
In a separate message, Trump expressed his gratitude to the Emir of Qatar, acknowledging his efforts for maintaining peace in the region. He confirmed that no American or Qatari citizens were harmed in the attack.
Ending his statement with a broader message, Trump said, “Congratulations to the world, now is the time for peace.” His remarks signal that the U.S. has no intention of launching a retaliatory strike, and also mark a rare call for restraint directed at both Iran and Israel, indicating a possible de-escalation of regional tensions.
