Noreen Niazi Meets Brother Imran Khan at Adiala Jail After Supreme Court Approval
ISLAMABAD: PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, met her brother at Adiala Jail on Tuesday following permission from the Supreme Court.
According to ARY News, the meeting took place in the conference room at 5:10 p.m. and lasted for 14 minutes. Noreen Niazi reportedly became emotional after seeing Imran Khan after a long time.
After leaving the jail, Noreen Niazi confirmed to reporters that she had met her brother. Meanwhile, Qasim Khan was stopped in the jail’s parking area.
The meeting came after the Supreme Court formally issued a written order regarding the proposed transfer of Imran Khan from jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad.
Under the written order, the court directed that Imran Khan be shifted to Shifa International Hospital within two days. The government and relevant authorities were also directed to submit complete details of all cases, arrests, ongoing trials and convictions against him.

The Supreme Court further ordered that a high-level medical board be constituted in consultation with the hospital administration. The board will include physicians, a general surgeon, an internal medicine specialist, an ophthalmologist and a cardiologist to conduct Imran Khan’s medical examination and treatment.
According to the order, Dr Faisal Sultan and Imran Khan’s sister, Dr Uzma Khan, will be permitted to remain involved during his medical examination and treatment.
The court ruled that all expenses related to Imran Khan’s treatment and medical facilities at Shifa International Hospital would be borne by Imran Khan or his family.
The Supreme Court also directed that, until the next hearing, no family member, PTI leader or lawyer would share Imran Khan’s health condition or medical reports with the media or the public.
The government and relevant authorities were directed to ensure that Imran Khan is allowed to meet his family once a week and facilitate telephone conversations with his sons twice a week.
