Record Development Work Undertaken Under Current Government, Public Welfare Drive to Continue: Balochistan CM Bugti
NORTH DERA BUGTI: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that a record number of development projects have been launched and completed across the province during the tenure of the current government, adding that the public welfare drive will continue with full momentum.
During his visit to North Dera Bugti, the chief minister reviewed various ongoing development projects and directed the relevant authorities to accelerate work, ensure quality and complete the schemes within the stipulated time.
The Deputy Commissioner Dera Bugti and other district officials briefed the chief minister on ongoing development projects and the basic facilities being provided to the local population.
Bugti also visited the building of a unique educational institution being constructed to provide modern, high-quality education to orphaned and underprivileged children. Under the project, hundreds of deserving children from different districts of Balochistan will be able to receive quality education.
The chief minister said education was the foundation of social development and a bright future for the younger generation. He added that the provincial government was taking practical measures to provide quality educational opportunities to children from disadvantaged communities.
Bugti also inspected a sports ground and said providing young people with sports facilities, a healthy environment and opportunities for positive activities was among the government’s top priorities.
He said the sports ground in North Dera Bugti would provide better facilities to local youth and offer them opportunities to showcase their abilities through inter-district competitions.
Regarding healthcare, Bugti said the provincial government was utilizing all available resources to provide better and quality health facilities to the people. He emphasized that extending basic services to remote areas remained an important government priority.
The chief minister made it clear that substandard work in development projects would not be tolerated. He said effective action had already been taken against poor-quality construction and strict measures would continue against those compromising on quality.
Bugti said the current government had launched and completed a record number of development schemes throughout Balochistan, with the primary objective of providing basic facilities at people’s doorsteps, reducing backwardness and ensuring that the benefits of development reached every area.
He said the government’s mission was to extend development beyond major cities to every tehsil and union council so that no area of Balochistan remained excluded from the development process.
The chief minister said fair distribution of development resources and funds and bringing them closer to the people were among the important reasons for establishing new districts and divisions.
He reiterated that Balochistan had witnessed record development work during the tenure of the current government and assured that the journey of public welfare would continue at the same pace.
Bugti said thousands of young people had been provided employment opportunities in various government departments within a short period. He added that the government was taking further steps to provide youth with better opportunities in education, skills development, employment and sports.
The chief minister directed officials to further accelerate work on all development projects, continuously monitor their quality and ensure that unnecessary delays in completing public-interest schemes were not tolerated.
Balochistan Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Imran Zarkoon were also present during the visit.
