Freedom Is a Great Blessing, Pakistan’s Sovereignty and Stability Guarantee Our Survival: Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani

QUETTA: Provincial Minister Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani has said that freedom is one of the greatest blessings bestowed by Allah Almighty, while Pakistan’s integrity, sovereignty and stability are guarantees of the nation’s survival.

In his message on the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, the provincial minister said Pakistan belongs to its people and is dear to the nation. He stressed that the country’s unity, sovereignty and stability must be protected at all costs.

Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani said the true spirit of democracy lies in upholding the Constitution and law, ensuring equality and providing justice to all citizens. He called upon the nation to renew its commitment on the auspicious occasion to contribute to the country’s development and prosperity without hesitation.

The provincial minister said Pakistan faces threats from both internal and external forces. He stressed that all those conspiring against the country’s unity and integrity must be confronted through national unity and collective resolve.

He said Pakistan’s defence is in the capable hands of the armed forces, which have the ability to respond effectively to any aggression. He added that strengthening the country’s defence capabilities and making them invincible should remain a national objective to counter external threats.

Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani said the importance of freedom could best be understood by oppressed nations living under the chains of slavery and longing to breathe freely.

He recalled that the ancestors of Pakistanis had sacrificed their precious lives for the country’s independence. He said it was therefore the collective responsibility of every citizen to confront internal and external challenges through unity, mutual understanding and national solidarity.
