Balochistan Government Committed to Empowering Youth Through Comprehensive Programs: Meena Majeed Baloch

Quetta:Provincial Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs, Ms. Meena Majeed Baloch, has stated that the formal launch of the Balochistan Youth Policy 2024 marks a revolutionary step for the province’s youth. Speaking to the media, she praised the Youth Affairs Department team for transforming the draft into a comprehensive and practical document, highlighting the collective efforts of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Senator Mir Jamal Raisani, former Secretary for Sports and Youth Affairs Dr. Javed Anwar Shahwani, current Secretary Dara Dashti, Director Youth Ilyas Shad Baloch, and other dedicated team members.
Since taking charge of this important department, Meena Baloch noted that the government of Balochistan, under the leadership of CM Sarfraz Bugti, has arranged numerous initiatives for the youth—ranging from sports activities and extracurricular events to recreational opportunities—despite limited resources. She emphasized that the provincial government views the youth as a catalyst for positive societal change and crucial to fostering economic growth and social awareness.
Ms. Baloch underscored that the Youth Policy will provide a more structured approach toward addressing the challenges faced by young people while promoting their educational, social, and economic development. She added that the policy is a testament to CM Bugti’s visionary leadership and his commitment to youth empowerment.
The formulation of the policy involved extensive consultations across various districts with youth, experts, educators, civil society members, and other stakeholders to ensure it accurately reflects ground realities and local needs. This consultative approach helped shape the policy into a cohesive and actionable framework.
Key features of the Balochistan Youth Policy 2024 include:

Under the policy, youth centers will be established at district and tehsil levels, offering counseling, career guidance, and entrepreneurship support. Leadership programs, youth councils, and platforms for civic engagement will also be introduced to empower young individuals in contributing to societal development.
She stressed that the government is committed not just to slogans but to actionable steps, with a clear roadmap, timeline, and monitoring mechanism to ensure transparency and accountability at every stage. Concluding her remarks, Ms. Meena Majeed Baloch affirmed that the youth of Balochistan possess immense potential that can be unlocked through guidance, opportunity, and trust.
