Historic Healthcare Milestone in Balochistan: Free Treatment for Cancer and Life-Threatening Diseases Expanded
Quetta: Balochistan has achieved a historic milestone in healthcare as the provincial government announced an **expansion of its free treatment program for cancer and other life-threatening diseases**.
A **Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)** was signed between the **Government of Balochistan** and **Roshi Pharma**, under which the **“Chief Minister Initiative for Treatment of Cancer and Deadly Diseases Expansion Project”** will broaden its scope.
During a meeting chaired by **Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakr**, it was revealed that the program provides **completely free treatment for cancer, multiple sclerosis, hemophilia, spinal muscular atrophy, and other deadly diseases**.
According to the provincial health minister, Balochistan has become **the first province in Pakistan** to offer such comprehensive free treatment for life-threatening illnesses. He emphasized that under **Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s leadership**, revolutionary healthcare reforms are underway to ensure **no citizen is deprived of treatment due to financial constraints**.
