Supreme Court Restores Nawab Janghez Marri as PB-9 Kohlu MPA

ISLAMABAD:A division bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the July 29, 2026, decision of the Balochistan Election Tribunal in Quetta, restoring Nawab Janghez Marri as a Member of the Balochistan Assembly from constituency PB-9 Kohlu.

The bench was headed by Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and included Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.

Following the Supreme Court’s decision, the Election Commission’s schedule for holding re-polling at four polling stations in the constituency on August 27, 2026, has also been cancelled.

Advocate Supreme Court Amanullah Kunarani represented appellant Nawab Janghez Marri before the court.

The suspension of the election tribunal’s decision means Marri has been restored as the elected MPA from PB-9 Kohlu.:::
