Rail Traffic Suspended After Blast Damages Track Between Spezand and Kolpur in Balochistan
QUETTA: Rail traffic has been suspended in Balochistan after an explosion damaged a section of railway track between Spezand and Kolpur, disrupting train services connecting the province with other parts of the country.
According to sources, unidentified armed individuals targeted the railway track with explosives, damaging part of the track.
Following the incident, train operations on the route were suspended. Security officials and railway personnel reached the site after receiving information about the blast, while repair and restoration work on the damaged track has begun.
Railway authorities said normal train services would not resume until the track was fully restored.
Security measures in the area have also been tightened following the incident. An investigation is underway to determine the nature of the explosion and identify those responsible.
