Aleema Khan Questions PTI’s September 27 Long March Date, Says Imran Khan Shouldn’t Be Kept Waiting

Islamabad: Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has expressed strong reservations over the party’s decision to schedule a long march to Islamabad on September 27, saying she does not understand why such a distant date was chosen.

Speaking to the media, Aleema Khan reacted to the announcement reportedly made by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi regarding the planned protest march. She questioned the delay, saying, “Will Imran Khan have to wait another two months? They are making Imran Khan wait. We simply do not understand why such a far-off date has been given.”

When asked about PTI’s public gathering held in Peshawar, Aleema Khan said she had not watched the event and therefore could not comment on how it went.

Responding to a question about whether she had been consulted before the decision to announce the September 27 long march, she said, “We do not discuss these matters. It is PTI’s decision.”

Her remarks come amid ongoing political discussions within PTI over the timing and strategy of the planned protest movement aimed at Islamabad.
