Umar Ayub and Shibli Faraz Resign from PTI Political Committee

Islamabad: Former Opposition Leader Umar Ayub and PTI leader Shibli Faraz have resigned from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Political Committee, sources confirmed.
According to Express News, Umar Ayub announced on the social media platform X that he had excused himself from participating in the PTI Political Committee due to legal and political commitments, stating that the committee’s membership should remain limited to current officeholders.
Umar Ayub emphasized, “I have been, am, and will remain a worker of Imran Khan.” He also recommended including Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai in the Political Committee in his place.

Similarly, Shibli Faraz submitted his resignation, citing inability to participate in the committee, and formally excused himself from further involvement.
Both leaders have sent their resignations to PTI Secretary-General Salman Akram Raja and suggested that the Political Committee should consist only of current officeholders.
