NADRA Introduces Self-Service Kiosk Machines for CNIC Renewal and Reprint
Islamabad: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced modern self-service kiosk machines at its Blue Area office in Islamabad and several other registration centers across Pakistan to make identity card services faster and more convenient.
According to NADRA, the kiosks allow citizens to renew their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) or apply for the reprint of lost cards without waiting in long queues or obtaining service tokens.
How to Use the NADRA Kiosk Machine
Citizens can complete their application by following these steps:
Select the preferred language (Urdu or English) on the touchscreen.
Enter your CNIC number.
Verify your identity by scanning your fingerprints.
Enter your mobile phone number.
If you already have a Pak ID account, your email address will appear automatically; otherwise, enter your email manually.
Choose the required service category:
CNIC renewal for an expired card or a card nearing expiry (within three to four months).
Reprint of a lost CNIC, including selection of the delivery address.
Capture your photograph using the kiosk’s built-in camera and confirm the image.
Sign electronically using the attached digital pen.
Review all the entered information before submission.
Scan or save the QR code displayed on the screen to pay the applicable fee through your mobile device.
Locations Where Kiosks Are Available
The self-service kiosks have been installed at selected NADRA centers in:
Islamabad: Blue Area Mega Centre and Bhara Kahu Registration Centre.
Rawalpindi: Murree Road Mega Centre, CSD Centre, and Wah Cantt Centre.
Lahore: Data Ganj Bakhsh Mega Centre, Egerton Road Mega Centre, and PECO Road Mega Centre.
Other Punjab cities: Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.
Karachi: DHA Mega Centre, North Nazimabad Mega Centre, and Siemens Chowrangi Mega Centre.
Hyderabad: NADRA Big Centre Hyderabad and East Centre.
Sukkur: Sukkur City Centre.
Quetta: Quetta Centre and Cantt Centre.
Peshawar: Ring Road Mega Centre.
NADRA said the initiative is aimed at improving public service delivery by enabling citizens to complete routine CNIC-related transactions quickly through an automated self-service system.
