Chief Justice Yahya Afridi Assures Scheduling of Imran Khan Cases After Eid

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi has assured that cases related to former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife will be scheduled for hearing after Eid, according to PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja.

Talking to the media outside the Supreme Court in Islamabad, Salman Akram Raja said he met the Chief Justice and requested that the cases be fixed for early hearing.

He stated that the Chief Justice of Pakistan assured him that the relevant cases would be scheduled after Eid and that instructions had already been issued to the concerned officials.

Salman Akram Raja added that during the meeting, he specifically requested the fixation of cases related to the PTI founder. He said the Chief Justice confirmed that steps would be taken to list the cases after the Eid holidays.

He further noted that Chief Justice Yahya Afridi personally called relevant officials and issued instructions in this regard, expressing confidence that the cases would soon be placed on the court’s schedule.
