Ahsan Iqbal Urges Bilawal Bhutto to Accept Kashmir Election Results

SHAKARGARH: Federal Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has urged Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to stop alleging electoral rigging and accept the results of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections.

Addressing a public gathering in Shakargarh, Ahsan Iqbal said Bilawal Bhutto was protesting the election outcome after seeing the results in Kashmir.

He questioned what he described as a double standard, saying that when the PPP forms a government after elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, the polls are considered transparent, but when Bilawal loses in Kashmir, allegations of rigging are raised.

Ahsan Iqbal added that he had expected Bilawal Bhutto to congratulate Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the election results in Muzaffarabad instead of disputing the outcome.
