PkMAP Criticizes Government Over Law and Order, Utility Shortages, and Urban Conditions in Quetta
QUETTA: The district executive committee of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) held a meeting at the party’s central secretariat in Quetta, where leaders reviewed organizational matters and strongly criticized the provincial government’s performance on law and order, public services, and urban management.
The meeting was chaired by the party’s Senior Vice President for Balochistan and Quetta District Secretary, Syed Sharaf Agha. PkMAP Balochistan President Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan and Provincial Office Secretary Malik Umar Kakar also attended.
Participants reviewed the party’s political and organizational activities in Quetta district and assessed the performance of district executive members. The meeting also discussed implementing decisions of the provincial committee, launching a public outreach campaign across all tehsils and local units in Quetta district, organizing membership drives, and strengthening the party’s organizational structure through joint meetings at district, tehsil, and regional levels.
Party leaders urged members to complete the membership campaign as soon as possible and finalize the remaining party conferences during August.
The meeting also expressed concern over what it described as the deteriorating law and order situation in Quetta, including incidents of theft and robbery, unannounced electricity load-shedding, gas shortages and low pressure, unemployment, and drug-related issues affecting young people.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the party strongly criticized what it called the poor performance of the government and alleged that elected representatives had failed to address public concerns, accusing them of mismanagement that had left the city in a deteriorated condition and increased hardships for residents.
The district committee also announced that its next monthly meeting will be held on August 1, 2026, at the party’s central secretariat in Quetta, and directed all committee members to ensure their attendance.
