Balochistan High Court Clarifies No Stay Order Issued Against Kalat Division Abolition Notification

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has clarified that it has not suspended the notification regarding the abolition of Kalat Division and has not issued any interim stay order in the matter.
According to Advocate Zahoor Ahmed Sasoli, the court, during Wednesday’s hearing, admitted both the Civil Miscellaneous Application (CMA) seeking a stay order and the main constitutional petition for regular hearing. Notices have been issued to all concerned parties.
He stated that the court has not granted any interim relief at this stage, contrary to reports suggesting that the notification had been suspended.
The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for August 6, 2026, when the court is expected to hear detailed arguments on the application seeking a stay order as well as the main petition.
