Election Tribunal Orders Re-Polling at Four Polling Stations in PB-09 Kohlu

KOHLU: The Election Tribunal has ordered re-polling at four polling stations in the Balochistan Assembly constituency PB-09 Kohlu after announcing its reserved verdict on an election petition challenging the constituency’s results.
According to sources, Nawab Changez Marri of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had been declared the winning candidate in the constituency. However, Mir Naseebullah Marri of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) challenged the result by filing an election petition before the tribunal.
Following the completion of hearings, the tribunal had reserved its verdict, which was announced on Wednesday. The tribunal directed the relevant election authorities to conduct fresh polling at four polling stations in the constituency.
Further details regarding the schedule for the re-polling are expected to be issued by the Election Commission in due course.
