Four Injured, Including Two Women, in Karachi House Fire Caused by Gas Leakage

KARACHI: Four people, including two women, suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out in a house due to a gas leakage in Karachi’s Korangi Crossing area on Wednesday morning. Household belongings were also completely destroyed in the blaze.

According to details, the incident occurred near Moon School in Sector D of Bhittai Colony, Korangi Crossing, within the jurisdiction of Zaman Town Police Station. The fire erupted at House No. 336 following a gas leakage, leaving four residents injured.

The injured were identified as 29-year-old Arif, his 27-year-old cousin Naveed, and two women aged between 50 and 60 years. They were shifted to the Civil Hospital Burns Ward by ambulances of welfare organizations for medical treatment.

Police said that Rescue 1122 personnel promptly reached the scene after receiving reports of the fire and successfully brought the blaze under control.

The fire also reduced household items inside the residence to ashes. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
