Balochistan Government’s Writ Limited to Hockey Chowk and Telephone House, Claims Aslam Raisani
QUETTA: Chief of Sarawan and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani, has expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Session Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and his security guard in an armed attack in Mastung, while criticizing the provincial government’s handling of the law and order situation.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Raisani described the incident as deeply tragic and said he was profoundly saddened by the news of the deaths of Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and his guard.
Expressing concern over the deteriorating security situation in the province, he alleged that the government’s writ has effectively been reduced to the areas of Hockey Chowk and Telephone House in Quetta.
“The government’s control is now limited to Hockey Chowk and Telephone House,” Raisani said, adding that the protection of the lives and property of the people of Balochistan has become one of the province’s greatest challenges.
He emphasized that the Mastung incident highlights the serious security concerns facing the province and underscored the need for effective measures to ensure public safety and restore confidence among citizens.
