**Man Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Killing Uncle in Quetta; Fined Rs 400,000**

**Quetta —** An Additional District and Sessions Court in Quetta has sentenced **Muhammad Jan Sasoli** to **life imprisonment** and imposed a **fine of Rs 400,000** after finding him guilty of **murdering his uncle** inside their home in 2022.

The verdict was announced by **Additional Sessions Judge Abdul Qadir Baloch**, who ruled that failure to pay the fine would result in an **additional six months of imprisonment**.

According to the prosecution, the incident took place in 2022 within the jurisdiction of **Sadar Police Station, Quetta**, when the convict **opened fire inside his house**, killing his uncle on the spot. Police arrested the accused and submitted a formal charge sheet to the court following the investigation.

After hearing arguments from both the prosecution and defense, the court had reserved its judgment, which was delivered on **Wednesday**. The judge found the accused guilty under **Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)** and sentenced him accordingly.

Additionally, the court handed the convict a **three-year prison term** and a **Rs 5,000 fine** under **Section 13/D** for **illegal possession of a firearm**. In case of non-payment of this fine, the convict will face **two more months of imprisonment**.

Following the sentencing, Muhammad Jan Sasoli was **shifted to jail** to serve his sentence. The prosecution was represented by **ADPP Tahir Khan** on behalf of the state.
