Case Registered Against Sadiq Adozai and Brother in Quetta; Protest Group Warns of Highway Blockades
Chaman: The Mazloom Ulasi Tehreek has condemned the registration of a case against its chairman Haji Sadiq Khan Adozai and his brother, Haji Salab Khan, as well as the detention of their security guards, describing the actions as an example of state repression.
Speaking at a press conference, the party’s district president Muhammad Qasim Khan alleged that three security guards accompanying the party chairman were taken into custody after he returned from participating in a sit-in held in solidarity with the families affected by the recent Ziarat incident.
According to Qasim Khan, Haji Sadiq Khan had joined the protest to express support for the affected families and to advocate for their constitutional and human rights. He claimed that after leaving the protest, authorities stopped the chairman and allegedly detained his three security guards, while also registering a criminal case against Haji Sadiq Khan and his brother.
The party called for a transparent and impartial investigation into the matter, demanding the immediate release of the detained security guards and respect for their legal rights.
Muhammad Qasim Khan said the Mazloom Ulasi Tehreek believes in peaceful political struggle and hopes the relevant authorities will resolve the issue through dialogue. However, he warned that if the party’s demands are not met, it will expand its protest campaign by blocking national highways, holding the authorities responsible for any resulting disruption.
