Attack on Sessions Judge in Mastung Is an Assault on the Foundations of the State and Rule of Law, Says Mena Majeed Baloch

QUETTA: Provincial Adviser for Sports and Youth Affairs Mena Majeed Baloch has strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack in Mastung that claimed the lives of Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and his security guard, describing the incident as an assault on the foundations of the state and the rule of law.

In a statement, Mena Majeed Baloch expressed profound grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of the Sessions Judge and his security guard, terming the brutal attack a reprehensible act of terrorism. She said that a judge is not merely a public office holder but a symbol of constitutional supremacy, justice, and the rule of law.

She stated that targeting individuals entrusted with the dispensation of justice amounts to an attack on the very foundations of the state and its legal system. “No words are sufficient to condemn such a heinous act,” she remarked, adding that the martyrdom of a judicial officer represents an irreparable loss for both the state and the judiciary.

The provincial adviser paid tribute to the late Sessions Judge for his distinguished judicial and national services and expressed complete solidarity with his bereaved family and members of the judiciary during this difficult time.

Mena Majeed Baloch prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, asking Almighty Allah to grant them the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bless their families with patience and fortitude. She also prayed for strength and resilience for all those affected by the tragedy.

Reaffirming the state’s resolve against terrorism, she said that such cowardly acts by the enemies of peace cannot weaken the nation’s determination. She emphasized that efforts by state institutions to uphold the Constitution, protect the rule of law, and ensure justice will continue with full courage and commitment.
