Light Rain Brings Pleasant Weather to Quetta, Residents Get Relief from Heat

Quetta: Intermittent light rain in Quetta turned the weather pleasant on Tuesday, bringing much-needed relief to residents who had been struggling with intense heat and humid conditions.

Cool winds began blowing across the city, while temperatures dropped noticeably, allowing daily life to gradually return to normal. Rainfall continued at intervals throughout the day, washing roads in several areas, including Jinnah Road, Zarghoon Road, Airport Road, Sariab Road, and Spini Road, and giving the city a fresh appearance.

Many residents visited parks and recreational spots to enjoy the refreshing weather, while children were seen taking delight in the rain. Citizens said the rainfall was a welcome blessing after several days of scorching heat, adding that it also helped reduce air pollution. They expressed hope that continued rainfall would ease drought concerns and benefit the agricultural sector.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), light rain and thunderstorms are expected in parts of Quetta and other districts of Balochistan over the next 24 hours. The department has advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather and to follow safety precautions.

Weather experts said the recent rainfall could improve groundwater levels, increase moisture in the atmosphere, and contribute to a further drop in temperatures. Farmers also welcomed the rain, describing it as beneficial for crops.

Residents thanked Allah for the welcome rainfall and expressed hope that such weather would continue, providing further relief from the summer heat.
