Balochistan People Suffering from Poverty and Unemployment, Says Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch

Quetta: Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of the Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch has said that the people of Balochistan are facing severe poverty, unemployment, and deprivation of basic rights.

Speaking to various delegations and during meetings in Quetta, he said that the province is currently surrounded by serious challenges, with trade activities stalled, border restrictions in place, road closures, and worsening security conditions causing widespread hardship.

He stated that the youth are increasingly frustrated due to unemployment, while traders and laborers are forced into continuous protests, and ordinary citizens are struggling to afford basic necessities.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch said these issues are the result of poor governance and flawed policies by the authorities, which have pushed the people of Balochistan into deeper crisis.

He announced the launch of Jamaat-e-Islami’s “public outreach campaign,” saying the movement aims to connect with citizens at the grassroots level, raise awareness, and invite them to join the party’s mission for social and political change.

He added that the campaign is part of a broader struggle to build a just system based on fairness, merit, and rule of law, and urged party workers to intensify door-to-door outreach efforts.

The lawmaker further said that the people of Balochistan are now disillusioned with traditional politics and are seeking honest and people-friendly leadership, which his party claims it can provide.

He reaffirmed that Jamaat-e-Islami will continue to raise its voice for the rights of the people both inside and outside the assembly and will stand by them in all difficult times.
