Husband Dies After Drinking Acid Following Wife’s Murder in Kahuta

Islamabad: A man accused of murdering his wife in Kahuta has died after allegedly drinking acid in an apparent suicide attempt.

According to hospital sources, the suspect, identified as Shakeel, had been shifted to Holy Family Hospital in critical condition on the previous day. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Police said the incident occurred after a domestic dispute, during which Shakeel allegedly attacked his wife with a cleaver, fatally striking her on the neck. Following the murder, he reportedly consumed acid in an attempt to take his own life.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
